Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale


1. Consumer Guarantee

1.1. Under the Australian Consumer Law, when you buy products and services they come with automatic guarantees that they will work and do what you asked for. If you buy something that isn't right, you have consumer Right. Please click ACCC website here for more details.


2. User Agreement and Acceptance

2.1. By accessing, using www.cedge.com.au website including App and mobile site and our social media pages ("Website"), you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions ("Agreement"). This Agreement is between you and CompuEdge Pty Limited (referred to in this Agreement as "we", "us" or "our"). We may change these terms at any time and changes will be posted on the Website. By continuing to use the Website, you agree to be bound by the changes.


3. Registration and User Requirements

3.1. You must be a registered member to make orders and access some features of the Website. You will provide us with personal information including your name, address, and a valid email address. You must ensure this information is accurate and current. To register an account and use the Website you must be at least 18 years old, have a current Australian residential address and have capacity to enter into a legally binding agreement with us.


4. Compatibility Issues

4.1. We do not guarantee compatibility between all components and software sold. It is the sole responsibility of the customers to ensure that products are compatible each other. To reduce the chance of incompatibility we recommend customers conduct their own research prior to purchase.


5. Stock Availability and Pricing

5.1. The Website is updated regularly and stock level indicators are accurate as of that time.

5.2. If the product you ordered is not in stock, then we will use reasonable endeavours to order the relevant product. In this case, we will notify you of the relevant product on backorder and the delivery ETA. If:

5.2.1. we are not able to source the product from our supplier, we may have to cancel the order for the product and provide you with a refund of the original price paid; or

5.2.2. we are able to source the product from a different supplier at a higher price than originally advertised, we will give you a choice as to whether you wish to purchase the product. If you decide not to take the product with higher price, we will provide you with a refund of the original price paid.

5.3. All of product prices listed in our Website are in Australian dollars and include 10% GST and do not include delivery charges unless specified.

5.4. Where a product has been listed at the incorrect price or with an incorrect description or wrong image or any other associated information due to genuine mistake, we reserve the right to cancel the relevant transaction and offer you with the correct price and/or the correct information.


6. Placing Orders

6.1. You are responsible for all orders placed on your account, including for any discrepancies or errors in your order caused by you.

6.2.
 We may change the prices for goods or services published on our Website at any time without giving notice to you. Prices of products placed in the shopping cart but not paid for are also subject to change and you agree to pay the price current at the time of payment.

6.3. By placing an order you agree to pay the price for the goods and/or services, any delivery charge and any additional delivery charges which may apply.

6.3.1. additional delivery charges are charges which are not shown in your shopping cart but which it incurs, for instance, the lift gate freight service for the overweight goods. Such charges may apply even where the item is shown on the Website as “free delivery” or something similar.

6.4. Goods in your shopping cart are not reserved until you have completed the checkout process. Orders are only confirmed once payment is received in full.

6.5. We may reject your order, including in circumstances where we believe there may be a fraud transaction, or where we later become unable to ship your order, or if there has been an error in the prices, images and information displayed on the Website. While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy information, we are not responsible for any error and reserve the right to accept or reject your order.

6.6. You must review your order carefully before placing it. Once an order is confirmed, you are unable to cancel or change it. If you have any problems with your order, then you must go through the normal returns process outlined in this Agreement. Please note that change of mind returns are given at our absolute discretion. As a general rule, we will NOT change or replace or refund your order where you have made an error.

6.7. We may require additional verification or information before accepting any order. You agree to provide us with current, complete and accurate details when asked to do so by us.

6.8. We only accept and ship orders within Australia.


7. Payments

7.1. We accept the PayPal and bank transfer for the payment methods where we do not charge surcharge for PayPal payment method. You need to make sue:

7.1.1. you must not pay, or attempt to pay, for Products through any fraudulent or unlawful means.

7.1.2. all payments must leave a proper reference/order number provided when you made the purchase.

7.1.3. where payment has been made without a proper reference, please email us at enquiries@cedge.com.au to notify us of the issue immediately.

7.1.4. payments transferred without a proper reference are subject to a confirmation process and may take an additional 24-48 hours to process.

7.2. All payments must be received in full prior to dispatch of good. Direct deposit payment via internet banking from a different bank may take up to 72 hours to reach our account. If your payment is not received or is declined by us, your bank or credit card issuer, we cannot and will not hold items against your order.

7.3. Goods that you have ordered will not be dispatched to you until your payment for the goods has cleared. If your payment cannot be processed, your order will be rejected and we do not hold the items that you have purchased in that order.


8. Deliveries

8.1. Subject to this Agreement, we will supply the goods shown on your order confirmation.

8.2. We will use our best endeavours to meet stated time frames for delivery, however, from time to time particularly during busy periods, our shipping service providers may suffer delays beyond our control. Please allow up to 30 days delivery.

8.3. A signature may be required for most delivery, and you are responsible for ensuring you are able to accept delivery.

8.3.1. we will not be held liable for late delivery where attempted delivery has occurred on or before the delivery time-frames.

8.4. If you authorize to leave for a certain delivery, courier driver will leave your order on your doorstep even if no one is around to receive it.

8.4.1. please note in this case we cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged deliveries after they have been dropped off.

8.5. If you require goods that you have ordered to be re-directed to an address which is not the original order address we may charge you a reasonable fee for doing this.

8.6. If goods received are not as per your order, please contact us in writing within 24 hours of receiving the delivery. Do not open any packaging or use the goods as it will be deemed an acceptance of goods and will not be accepted for return. All claims for shortages/incorrect shipment must be made within 24 hours of receipt of goods.

8.7. If the parcel appears damaged in any way upon delivery, please ensure that the courier makes note of the damage before signing for receipt of the product. If you fail to note the damage, you will not be able to claim for goods damaged during transit.

8.8. If goods received seem to have damaged packaging, do not open any original packaging or use the item as it will be deemed as an acceptance of goods and will not be accepted for return. Once we receive the damaged product back we will have a replacement shipped out. If we cannot replace the item, we will provide you with a full refund.

8.8.1. you are not entitled to any refund, part refund or exchange for a packaging damage because the packaging is only to protect the goods themselves.

8.9. We reserve the right to change, modify or discontinue any delivery options at our absolute discretion.


9. Cancellations

9.1. We reserve the right to cancel, at any time before delivery and for whatever reason, an order it has previously accepted. We may do following, but without limitation where:

9.1.1. we are unable to supply goods/services which our supplier previously promised to supply.

9.1.2. an event beyond our control such as floor, fire, storm, earthquake, power failure, strike or computer systems failure which leads to us being unable to supply the goods within a reasonable time.

9.1.3. goods ordered were subject to an error on the Website in relation for example to description, price or image which was not discovered prior to the order being made.

9.1.4. if you request a cancellation in writing prior to goods being shipped.

9.1.4.1. any such requests are only valid once confirmed by us in writing.

9.2. Where we cancel your order, we will send you an email notifying you of cancellation.

9.3. Where payment has been made, we will refund any money paid in respect of that order in full.

9.4. Cancellation request is required to be made in writing.

9.5. Cancellation after products have been shipped will result in the customer being liable for all shipping and handling as well as any cancellation fees which may apply.

9.6. Where order existing in our Website without payment, we reserve the right to cancel that order after 48 hours of it being made unless you specify the reason and give the time frame of the payment.

9.7. Order existing in our Website where only a deposit payment has been made, we reserve the right to cancel that order after 7 days of it being made if there has been no further payment and/or communication from the customer. Customer forfeits any deposit paid on such order.

9.8. Except to the extent otherwise required by law (including, without limitation, the Australian Consumer Law), we will not be liable to you, or any other person, for any loss, damage, cost or expense suffered as a direct or indirect result of cancellation of your order, whether in contract, negligence or any other tort, equity, restitution, strict liability, under statute or otherwise.


10. Change of Mind Policy

10.1.  We cannot refund or exchange goods where you have simply changed your mind, made a wrong selection or have simply found the goods cheaper elsewhere. We recommend you carefully preview any product before adding them to your shopping card and confirming your order.

10.2. We may, at our sole discretion, allow a return for store credit on a case-by-case basis, provided that the item in question is:

10.2.1. returned within 7 days of order;

10.2.2. not used or worn with original tags and/or sealed packaging; and

10.3.3. not damaged in any way.

10.3. 20% re-stocking fee will be charged when meets above conditions, or customer is responsible to collect the goods back. 

10.4. Returns of software or games will not be accepted except for warranty.


11. Warranty and DOA (Dead On Arrival) Returns

11.1. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

11.2. You are responsible to back up your data for the return item. During the warranty/repairing procedures, your data may be lost.

11.3. A large percentage of warranty returns are tested to be without fault. So before making a return claim, we recommend you contact manufacturer’s technical support for assistance, in most cases, they will be able to rectify the issue on phone or email, if it is not, please obtain the case number from them for your warranty return.

11.4. When seeking a return on a product, please contact us via email or call centre. Once contacted we will investigate your issues and advise you whether your product may be returned and, where required, provide you with a Return Authorisation and instructions on how to return your goods, with which you must comply.

11.5. Please ensure that all products return to us are adequately packed. We take no responsibility for products that arrived damaged which have been damaged in transit. All such damaged products will be rejected immediately and costs for return shipping will be charged.

11.6. Once an item is returned,  we will either inspect your goods and investigate any claimed defect or where we believe it is applicable, provide a remedy in relation to your goods. If we do not believe a remedy is applicable upon inspecting your goods (for example, where we believe the goods have been misused, or there was a failure to use in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, used it in an abnormal way or there has been a failure to take reasonable care), or an incompatibility issue, we will reject your claim and charge a service fee of $25 for each product inspected, you must cover the cost of return shipping in order to receive goods we have rejected on inspection, and we will provide you with instructions on how to make this payment.

11.7. Where refunds are applicable, it will be issued using the payment method used for purchase. Store credits will be issued to the account used to purchase the goods.

11.8. DOA return period is STRICTLY within 7 days after you receiving the ordered goods which is determined to be faulty by manufacturer’s technical support. A case number from manufacturer will be required.

11.9. We aim to process refunds and replacements within 28 days of receipt by us of the original product, however, depending on your item and the number of returns in our system, this may take longer.

11.10. We do not directly handle warranty returns for products where a local or direct manufacturer to customer warranty service is available. These products include notebook, laptops, all-in-one PC, branded PC, printers, scanners, networking products, monitors and other retail products. Please check the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions for the specific details.

11.11. Any product sold by us is meant to be professionally installed; improper installation and resulting damage is NOT covered under warranty.


12. Disclaimers of Warranties

12.1. Given the unpredictability of technology and the online environment, We do not warrant that the function or operation of this Website will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that this Website or the server that makes it available will be free of viruses or other harmful elements. As a visitor to and user of this Website, you must assume full responsibility for any costs associated with servicing of equipment used in connection with your use of our Website.

12.2. All information provided by us on this is based on material provided by third party merchants, suppliers and product manufacturers. Except as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law) we cannot be held responsible for inaccuracies or errors caused by incorrect information supplied to us or by these third parties.

12.3. While efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the information on this Website, it should not be treated as the basis for formulating business decisions without professional advice. We emphasize that trademark and related intellectual property laws vary from country to country, and between jurisdictions within some countries. The information included on this Website will not be relevant or accurate for all countries or states.

12.4. The contents of this website, including, without limitation, the materials, are provided "as is," and we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to this website or its contents. we disclaim all representations and warranties of any kind, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and no infringement.


13. Intellectual Property

13.1. All content, graphics, user and visual interfaces, photographs, trademarks, logos, sounds, music, artwork, and computer code, including but not limited to the design, structure, selection, coordination, expression and arrangement of such material contained or used in the Website is either owned, controlled, or licensed to us, or is otherwise subject to the intellectual property rights of third parties and is protected by copyright, patent and trade mark laws and various other intellectual property rights. We reserve all intellectual property rights, including but not limited to, copyright in material and/or services provided or authored by us. Nothing in the Agreement gives you a right to use any of our marketing material, business names, trademarks, logos, domain names or other distinctive brand features.

13.2. Other trademarks used on the Website that belong to third parties are used with permission and remain the intellectual property of the third party.


14. Privacy and Personal Information
